Y Vân: The Lost Sounds of Saigon unfolds across three generations, weaving together past and present through the universal language of music.

Y Vân (1933–1992) is widely regarded as one of the most influential figures in modern Vietnamese music. His iconic compositions, including Lòng Mẹ (“Mother’s Heart”) and Sài Gòn, have become deeply embedded in the cultural memory of Vietnamese communities around the world.

Through rare archival material and heartfelt storytelling, the film revives the golden age of Saigon while exploring how music can transcend time, loss, and distance.
