HAAPIFEST 2026 proudly presents the Southern U.S. Premiere of THE A LIST: 15 STORIES FROM ASIAN & PACIFIC DIASPORAS — a powerful documentary that asks a bold and timely question:
What does it mean to be AAPI today?
🌟 Voices That Define a Generation
Featuring an extraordinary lineup of trailblazers — including Sandra Oh, Kumail Nanjiani, Connie Chung, Tammy Duckworth, and Amanda Nguyen — THE A LIST brings together diverse perspectives across industries, identities, and lived experiences.
Through moments of honesty, humor, and vulnerability, these voices reflect on navigating identity in America — balancing culture, visibility, and belonging in a world where representation has often been limited or misunderstood.
Their journeys reveal both the triumphs and the challenges of success shaped by race, resilience, and community.
🎥 A Story of Identity, Struggle, and Belonging
At its core, THE A LIST is a mosaic of stories — each one unique, yet deeply connected.
From confronting racism to redefining success, the film captures the complexity of AAPI identity in today’s world. It highlights the strength found in community, the importance of representation, and the ongoing fight to be seen and heard.
More than a documentary, it is a reflection of a generation — one that is reclaiming its narrative and shaping its future.
